Halloween Spooktacular

With the supermarkets full of Hallowe'en goodies, costumes and novelties a Thwaites EMPIRE Theatrehas taken a stand against the idea of children roaming the streets trick or treating after dark. As a safe alternative the venue is offering families a Spooktacular variety show for parents to bring their children along to enjoy indoor entertainment on the evening of Hallowe'en and also Saturday 1 November.

The audience is invited to wear Hallowe'en costumes to the theatre with a prize for the best fancy dress. There will be competitions, traditional games, the "Worlds Largest Wizard" and a host of performers with ghost stories from around Lancashire.

A host of stars includes Pop Idols "Anthony Batey" and BBC Radio Lancashire's Ben Thomson. Producer Tim Lince from Pendle Productions explained' 'There will be Ghost Stories where you will have the chance to vote with our specially constructed "Spookometer: to find the funniest Ghoulish story of the night. There will be the opportunity for the children to win the best costume prize in our Ghouls and Spooks Parade.' Music includes hits from Thriller, and the Rocky Horror Show with dance routines provided by Bernese School of Theatre, Dance & Drama.
